Drew Mendoza is an explosive guard, 5’2 sophomore out of Mira Mesa High.
Through the month of December, Mendoza averaged 34.2 minutes/game and 13.8 points/game. The captain and point leader played the entire 40 minutes versus Santa Monica College in the Cypress College tournament, and scored over 20 points during Grossmont’s 31 annual holiday tournament against Victor Valley (12/28/2018).
Mendoza's performance through December awarded her an honorable mention in December's Athlete-of-the-Month.
This is Mendoza's first season at Grossmont College. She has already scored 152 points, assisted 41 and stolen 23 for the Griffins in the 12 games she has played as a starter.
