Another Griffin is off to University! Susie Traver, Grossmont College sophomore, came to Grossmont as a transfer from San Diego Christian. After one year as a red shirt, after countless hours of hard work, time, sweat, and dedication, Susie played her sophomore year during the 2017-2018 season for G House.
Averaging 2 assists and 3 rebounds per game, with a 35% field goal percentage, she lead her team both on and off the the court. Being named as a captain for the season, she showcased her abilities as a strong emotional leader and someone her team could rely on day in and day out.
Head Coach Karen Caires comments, “Susie has truly become an incredible student-athlete at Grossmont College! She matured both in the classroom and on the court- she is a player that we could depend on and play at multiple positions.
Susie was team captain for the Griffins and brought leadership and innovative suggestions to our program. I am so proud of her and look forward to her continuing to be an instrumental and successful addition to York College.” Good luck to Susie at York College next season!
