The Grossmont-Cuyamaca College District is promising free tuition to first-time, first-year students!

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Promise is our commitment to offer a world-class education for every East County high school student who can benefit from college and career training. The Promise is an educational pathway for students to attend college and to prepare for a 21st century career.

MEET ALL REQUIREMENTS BY SEPTEMBER 4TH, 2018

In order to qualify for free tuition, students must:

  1. Be a first-time college student (included dual enrollment or concurrent high school students) and a California resident or AB5450 eligible
  2. Review and sign the Promise Pledge
  3. Complete a free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act application
  4. Complete the college onboarding process: Application, Orientation, Assessment, and Education Plan
  5. Attend as a full-time student at Grossmont College or Cuyamaca College (At least 12 units per semester)
  6. Maintain a 2.0 college GPA or higher to remain eligible for spring semester

For your registration bill, there are two options:
1. Pay your bill in full or schedule a payment plan.

• If you are eligible for the Grossmont-Cuyamaca College Promise, your fees will be refunded to you later in the semester after you receive the email confirmation of your eligibility. If you scheduled a payment plan, please note the $25 establishment fee is non-refundable.

2. Don't pay your bill now, courses will not be dropped for non-payment, and wait to find out if you are eligible for the Grossmont-Cuyamaca College Promise.

• If you are eligible, your enrollment fees will be waived. NOTE: You are still responsible for paying any other fees charged to your enrollment.
• If you are not eligible, you will be responsible for paying your entire remaining balance.

As a potential Grossmont-Cuyamaca College Promise student, you do not have to pay your bill by the drop for non-payment deadline. Your classes will not be dropped due to non-payment.
