GROSSMONT DUO WINS PAIRS TITLE

The Grossmont beach volleyball team won the PCAC regular season title and its only two losses on the season have come against four-year universities. The Griffins' No. 1 pair of Ashlee Goycoochea and Alexcis Morris rolled to the PCAC pairs title on Friday.

Goycoochea and Morris were seeded No. 3 for the tournament and were completely dominant throughout, never losing a set. They finished with a 22-20, 21-19 win against San Diego Mesa's Ally Ferguson and Hannah Grimm in the finals and now enter the Southern California Regional Pairs Tournament as the top seed from Southern California.

The Pacific Coast Athletic Conference advanced 10 pairs teams to the regional finals, which will be held at Irvine Valley College on May 3.

Team regional play will begin on Tuesday, April 30 at four host sites including Grossmont College. Grossmont is to host Mt.
