The 6'6, 300 lb sophomore out of Moreno Valley, Jay Williams, is scheduled to sign his National Letter of Intent Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Griffin Gate. Williams has over 20 scholarship offers from universities all over the nation. He will decide just one.

The sophomore bounceback was a walk-on defensive end at San Diego State after a standout prep career on both sides of the ball, including as a receiver, but it has been his time with the Griffins that has gotten him noticed.

Williams has received over 20 offers from NCAA Division I universities. The universities include: University of Louisville, University of Indiana, University of Arkansas, University of Missouri, Old Dominion University, Eastern Kentucky University, Louisiana Tech University, Bethune-Cookman University, Georgia State, Grambling State, Houston Baptist University, Mississippi Valley State, New Mexico State, Southeast Missouri State, University of Central Florida, Youngstown State, Florida State, *University of Oklahoma, *University of Memphis, *University of Nebraska, and *Baylor University. The list will grow as we approach William's announcement.

Williams is very excited to announce his decision, and he expresses his appreciation to everyone involved in it. Williams states, "Thank you to my family and friends for the support. A huge thank you to coach Jordan and my Grossmont coaches and teammates. Thank you to each and every university for the recognition. I am very excited to play at the next level!"

Williams will make his selection publicly in front of family, friends, coaches, staff and media at Grossmont College Wednesday, December 19 at 9:00 a.m. in Griffin Gate. Griffin Gate is located in Building 60, at the southeast corner of the Grossmont College campus-situated directly across from the Barnes and Noble campus bookstore.
