Austin Dickman of Grossmont College men's swim is awarded with Pacific Coast Conference Co-Swimmer of the Year! Dickman was a star during the conference championships April 18-20, 2019, winning three different events. He won the 100 fly*, 100 backstroke* and 200 backstroke*, standing at the top of the podium on three occasions.

Additional GC men's swimmers and divers also hold numerous top three (3) finishes at the conference championships this season.

Weston Papike placed 2nd in the 100 butterfly just behind Austin Dickman. Mack Nevins holds 2nd in the 200 freestyle* and 500 freestyle*. Garrett Hail finished 3rd in the 200 freestyle* and the 100 freestyle*, and Brian Kuhn 2nd in the 1650 free* and 400IM, and 3rd in the 500 freestyle*. Jose Nunez was 3rd in the 1650 freestyle, Anson Rassmusson 2nd in 1m* and 3m* diving, Pat Sullivan 3rd in the 200IM, 2nd in the 200 butterfly and also Isaiah Webster 2nd in the 50 freestyle* and 3rd in the 100 breaststroke.

Also, head coach Anhton Tran holds this year's Coach of the Year award. Tran led the Grossmont's men's swim and dive team to a dual meet championship, securing the conference title this spring 2019. The men's team now gears up for the CCCAA state championship in Cupertino, CA May 2-4, 2019.

The GC men will compete in 16 individual and five (5) relay events at the state championship. Swimmers participating include Austin Dickman, Tristan Correia, Weston Papike, Garrett Hail, Isaiah Webster, Brian Kuhn and Mack Nevins. Two divers, Trevor Perez and Anson Rassmusson, have qualified for state championships also.
