MEN'S SWIM AND DIVE FINISH EIGHTH (8) IN THE STATE

The swim and diving state meet wrapped up last Saturday, May 4 in Cupertino, CA. Grossmont College men's swim and dive team finished eighth (8).

MEN FINAL STANDINGS 
1. Sierra 528, 2. Diablo Valley 500, 3. Mt. San Antonio 319, 4. Riverside City 246, 5. Santa Rosa JC 225.5, 6. Las Positas 215, 7. Santa Monica 197, 8. Grossmont 182, 9. Ventura 129, 10. Merced 128.

GC Individual swimmers:
Austin Dickman finished seventh (7) in the 100 butterfly, 13th in the 100 backstroke, 11th in the 200 backstroke.
Mack Nevins finished sixth (6) in the 500 freestyle and seventh (7) in the 200 freestyle.
Garrett Hail finishes 14th in the 200 freestyle.
Isaiah Webster finishes 11th in the 50 freestyle.

GC Relay teams:
Ninth (9) place finish in the 200 freestyle relay- Webster, Hail, Nevins, Weston Papike
Sixth (6) finish in the 400 medley relay- Dickman, Tristan Correia, Papike, Hail.
13th in the state for the 200 medley relay- Dickman, Correia, Papike, Webster.
Big fourth (4) place finish in the 800 free relay- Hail, Webster, Nevins, Brian Kuhn.
Seventh (7) in the 400 free relay- Webster, Nevins, Papike, Hail.

GC Individual divers:
Trevor Perez- tenth (10) place on the 3m diving board.
Anson Rassmusson- ninth (9) place 1m diving board.

Grossmont women's swimming and diving finished 25th in the state.

GC Individual swimmer:
Carli Willis all top 16 finishes
12th in the 500 free
14th in the 400 IM, in a new school record
11th in the 200 butterfly

GC Individual diver:
Noelle Abrantes- 14th on 1m, and ninth (9) on 3m board.
