The Grossmont Men's Volleyball team closed out an incredible late reason run tonight with a decisive 3-0 win over Palomar College at home. The Griffins were too much for the visiting Comets winning 25-15 - 25-12 - 25-18. The victory sealed the 2017 PCAC Conference title and an automatic berth in the regional play-offs. The Griffins will be on the road (team and site TBA) Friday April 21st for the 1st round of play-offs, game time will be at 7:00 PM. The comeback Griffs delighted the home crowd this past Friday when they upset previously undefeated Miramar College 3-1. Entering the match the Griffins not only needed to win the contest, but in order to achieve the auto berth into play-offs they had to win by a score of 3-1 or better. The Griffins had previously lost to Miramar 3-2 on the road. Backs against the wall - the men came out fighting winning on Friday 3-1 over Miramar and on Wednesday 3-0 over Palomar and thus earning the 2017 PCAC Conference Championship and an automatic play-off spot!
