The G-House rained 3 pointers in the Consolation Championship game as the host Grossmont College shot 50% from behind the arc (15-30).
Six Griffins recorded a 3 point basket with Kyra Bruesewitz leading the entourage at 7-12 (21 points), Annabasia Olaogun was 3-4 (13 points), Susie Traver finished 2-5 (6 points), and Martina Toma, Natalia Del Bene, Jeriah Drake all recorded a single 3 pointer!
After dropping a tough game 1 to Foothill College, the Griffins simply exploded in the final two games of the tournament, beating Santa Ana 68-55 and then finishing with an 81-56 win over PCAC South Division rival Southwestern College. Freshman point guard Annabasia Olaogun from Otay Lakes was named to the All-Tournament team - Olaogun scored 29 points with 7 assists over the course of the weekend.
The Griffins move to 7-9 overall on the season and will be riding a two game win streak into their next game - Wednesday January 3rd at home against Palomar College.
