IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO PLAY SOCCER FOR GC!

Grossmont College women's soccer is looking for new student-athletes to join the 2019-20 season.

Since 1995, Grossmont College's intent has always been to create a place where student-athletes can continue to exercise their love for soccer in a fun, competitive environment with the main focus being academics. We have also created a legitimate "stepping stone" for players to continue to improve their skills and work their way to the 4-year level to continue their education and soccer careers.

Head coach Jason Aldous is currently the Director of Coaching for Liverpool Soccer Club. He is also the head coach of Patrick Henry High School Women's Soccer team for the past 4 years. Jason has coached club soccer in San Diego area for 14 years. He has worked with coaches such as Malcolm Cook (former Liverpool youth director) and Frans Hoek (Current Manchester United assistant coach). Jason has spent time in England, Spain and Holland studying coaching techniques that have helped him to develop into the coach he is today.

All games and practices take place on the Grossmont stadium field which has the state of the art "Field Turf" playing surface. Unlike many of the natural fields in San Diego County, this is a very player friendly surface (soft) and has been proven to reduce the risk of injury, regardless of weather conditions.

Practices begin August 19, 2019 and run Monday-Friday from 12:30-2:25 p.m. until November. Games are played each Tuesday and Friday during the fall.
