Another successful Grossmont College Swim and Dive season is in the books. Both the men and women's sides found themselves on top of the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference once again proving their dominance in the sport this year. Along with the team honors, some of our very own student athletes were acknowledged for their individual achievements.
On the women's side, Maya Garcia-Hale and Camille Seiley were named Co-PCAC Women's Swimmers of the Year. Garcia-Hale is shines in both the individual medley and the backstroke and has helped Grossmont win the conference. Her teammate, Camille Seiley has done exceptionally well breaking some of the PCAC individual records by swimming the fastest times in conference history in both the 50 and 100 meter free. Seiley's performance has her ranked number 1 for the State Championship meet that will be held this weekend at Santa Rosa Junior College in Northern California. On the men's side, Dustin Walter has proven himself to be strong in all events that he races in. Walter's all-around ability earned him the title of PCAC Men's Swimmer of the Year. Finally, with the overall success of the program, our very own, Coach Carli Willis, was selected as the PCAC Coach of the Year.
