2018 ALL-CONFERENCE SELECTIONS-WOMEN'S TENNIS

Grossmont College's women's tennis finished strong this spring in post-season. The team captured two All-Conference selections, competed in team regional playoffs and qualified two singles players and three doubles teams into the state championships.

Pacific Coast Conference All-Conference selections for women's tennis is comprised of the singles quarterfinalists and the doubles semifinalists in the conference tournament. The PCAC conference tournament was held at Southwestern College April 12-14, 2018.

The griffin women completed the season 16-5 overall, 14-0 in conference, qualifying themselves as the south's seventh seed for the 2018 CCCAA dual team regional playoffs April 10, 2018. The women were knocked out in the first round versus Orange Coast College. The No. 1 seed from the south, Cerritos College, moved forward to capture the CCCAA state championship in Ojai April 25.

CCCAA Tennis Individuals State Championships Wrap-up:

The tennis state individuals championships located in Ventura, Ca is a very competitive event. All players who qualify are the top tennis players in the state.

GC's doubles team of Katrinna Jasso and Erica Childs made it to the round of 32 before losing to Stephanie Huang and Sophia Moeckelmann of Chabot College. Doubles teams Jessica Blanco and Jillian Kan, and Madelein Liljekvist and Alycia Franklin both lost tough second round matches.
