Grossmont Dominates Saddleback in Round 1 of Regional Play-Offs!

The Grossmont Women's Volleyball team is peaking at exactly the right time of the season and when it matters the most they are playing their best.  On Tuesday night the Griffins dominated visiting Saddleback College in a 3 game sweep (25-18, 25-19. 25-19) avenging an early season loss to the Gauchos.  Grossmont entered the play-offs as the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference South Division Champions and the number 8 seed, with the 1st round southern regional win they have earned a match this Saturday, November 25th (6:00 PM start time) against number 1 seed Irvine Valley College at Irvine Valley.  The Griffins just recently won their 8th straight Conference Title and are looking for another trip to the State Championship.  The road to the State Finals will run through 23-0 Irvine Valley College this Saturday with the winner advancing onto the State Championship December 2nd and 3rd in Solano California.  In the 1st round against Saddleback Khalia Jordan from Olympian High School was absolutely explosive with 12 kills, while Kayli Barrera from West Hills High School has 3 Service Aces.
