Griffin women's volleyball moves into the #4 position in the CCCWVCA state rank

In the September 24 CCCWVBCA state poll, Grossmont College women's volleyball climbs into the number four position. The Griffin women last held the #5 position (Sept. 17), and began at the #8 rank when the California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches' Association first released the rankings September 10, 2018.
Irvine Valley win streak is now at 34 matches as the Lasers keep their place at the top of the 2018 State Top 25 Rankings. Gavilan remains at No. 2 and the North's best so far, followed by El Camino at #3. Grossmont moves up to #4, Moorpark up to #5, Hartnell rises to #6, Cabrillo falls to #7, Sierra remains at #8, Long Beach up to #9, and Bakersfield gets back on to the top 10 at #10.
Biggest jump: MiraCosta up nine places to #15.
Three new teams make it on to the Top 25 in Butte at #18, Desert at #24 and Merced at #25.
The only undefeated teams left are #1 Irvine Valley (7-0), #2 Gavilan (13-0), #25 Merced (7-0), and unranked Mt. San Jacinto (9-0) and Las Positas (4-0).
