Thirteenth seed Grossmont women's volleyball is scheduled to play the fourth seed Long Beach in the SoCal Regional Championships.

Thirteenth seed Grossmont is scheduled to play fourth seed Long Beach in the first round of the 2018 CCCAA Women's Indoor Volleyball SoCal Regional Championships. The first round match is to be played at Long Beach College Tuesday, November 20.
The Griffin women finished regular season play 21-5, with a 7-3 conference record. With wins over Cypress, Moorepark and Canyons, Grossmont is ranked #24 in the final regular season state poll by the California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches Association (CCCWVCA). Cypress is ranked seven in the state, Moorepark 21 and Canyons 14.
Long Beach is ranked six in the state. The Vikings compete in South Coast Conference and finished the season 21-3 and 7-1 in conference.
Winners of the first round of regional championships will move forward into the second round of championships, scheduled for Saturday, November 24. Second round victors will advance to the CCCAA State Championships held at Solano College November 30 through December 2.
