G-House's Alexcis Morris has been honored as the PCAC Female Athlete of the Week!

Alexcis Morris of the No. 3-ranked volleyball team in the state has been honored for the second time this season as the PCAC Athlete of the Week!  

Morris, a 6-foot-4 middle hitter from Heritage High School in Romoland, contributed 9 kills with 1 error on 15 attempts, 2 aces and a block assist in a 25-10, 25-18, 25-16 sweep of district rival Cuyamaca.

She came back with 18 kills and 3 errors on 25 attempts, 1 ace and 4 block assists as the Griffins came back from an opening-set loss to defeat San Diego Mesa 19-25, 25-15, 25-12, 25-17 to go to 2-0 in the PCAC South Division.

Honorable Mention

Julia Hartman (Grossmnt Soccer), a freshman midfielder from Patrick Henry High School contributed two goals and an assist during the week and is a huge reason the Griffins are 6-3-3 on the season and are off to a 3-1-1 start in the PCAC South. The goal gave Grossmont a 1-1 tie with unbeaten and PCAC South first-place Southwestern. The two assists came in a 2-0 victory over College of the Desert in a cross-over game. Hartman leads the Griffins with 10 goals and with the two assists also tops the team with 22 points.
