Grossmont College Athletics in collaboration with the Counseling Department presented the first Student-Athlete Pre-Registration Workshops November 4-7, 2019. 

At the Student-Athlete Pre-Registration Workshops, student-athletes received educational planning assistance, help with scheduling spring 2020 classes and free refreshments.

This year's workshops were a success! Grossmont's 16 current sports teams participated and over 170 student-athletes received assistance in preparing their spring schedules for 2020. The workshops leading organizer was Patrick Aure, Grossmont Athletics Academic Advisor.

Aure states, "The event was great. Thank you to everyone! We had a lot of coaches and administration buy-in, and we're looking to do it again in summer 2020. Our next step now is to help students apply for graduation."

The deadline to apply for graduation is March 6, 2020, and graduation at Grossmont College is scheduled for June 4.

Each year prior to graduation, the athletics department holds a Student-Athlete Graduation Celebration. The graduation celebration is an opportunity for student-athletes to pick up their student-athlete sash prior to the college's commencement ceremony.

It's not too late for student-athletes to organize for graduation. Student-athletes may still receive registration assistance by visiting the athletics academic advising and eligibility office in building 42, room 105.
