Grossmont College awards Associate Degrees and Certificates of Achievement three times a year at the end of the fall, spring and summer semesters. However, the Annual Commencement Ceremony is held once a year in spring.

The deadline to apply for graduation is March 6, 2020, and graduation at Grossmont College is scheduled for June 4.

It is the responsibility of the student who expects to graduate to have all college transcripts on file prior to filing an application for graduation. The application should be filed prior to the deadline for the semester in which the student plans to complete requirements for a degree. (See Academic Calendar in front of catalog or class schedule for exact deadlines). A student not in continuous attendance at Grossmont College should be aware that he/she must meet degree requirements listed in the catalog in effect at the time of re-admission. The student may choose to meet requirements in a catalog published after his/her re-admission provided he/she remains in continuous attendance.

To apply for graduation:

1. Provide official transcripts from all other colleges attended (for degree applicants)
2. Schedule a counseling appointment if you are not sure that you have met degree/certificate requirements
3. Meet the deadline to apply for a degree/certificate
4. Apply online or in the Admissions and Records Office

Prior to commencement, the athletics department holds a Student-Athlete Graduation Celebration. The graduation celebration is an opportunity for student-athletes to pick up their student-athlete sash prior to the ceremony.
