SAN DIEGO – Freshman Libero Lauren Dumo has been named the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Women’s Athlete of the Week by the Conference today. 

Over two matches last week, the Westview high school product had 43 digs with five assists and a service ace against fifth-ranked San Diego Mesa and San Diego City Colleges. 

“Lauren was a huge component in both wins over #5 ranked (in the State) Mesa and had 19 digs last match up against Mesa and has consistently performed as a freshman,” head coach Brooke Callahan said. “I feel as though she is absolutely deserving of this week's recognition and has been a game changer defensively for Grossmont.”
