PHOENIX — Grossmont College Volleyball player Madi Bogle has signed to go to Grand Canyon University (NCAA D1 – Western Athletic Conference) beginning in the Fall of 2023 for Beach Volleyball.

Last season, Bogle and her partner Lexi Morris reached the semifinals of the CCCAA Pairs bracket, losing to the eventual State Champions from Santa Barbara City College.

This season Bogle is helping lead the Indoor volleyball team to a 16-3, 10-0 record and a Top-5 position in the State Rankings. She is hitting .344 on nearly 500 attacks this season. That ranks her 15th in the State of California in hitting percentage. In addition, she has 15 aces, 200 digs and 16 blocks.

Grand Canyon reached the NCAA Division I Beach Volleyball Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama.  The 'Lopes were the number seven seed in the tournament.  GCU's head coach Kristen Rohr was named National Coach of the Year by the AVCA.

Last month, the 'Lopes accepted an invitation to join the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA).  The newly formed conference will host Florida State, LSU, Missouri State, South Carolina, TCU and GCU.  The members of the conference have finished in the top two in half of the years of the Championships (six).
