GRIFFINS POSTPONE TWO MORE DUE TO PLAYER HEALTH

EL CAJON -- There are some things in life you just can not do.  You can not skip too many meals.  You can not skip paying your taxes.  You can not play when you are injured.

Grossmont College Interim Athletic Director Jason Allen has announced that the Griffins Women's basketball team will not play with less than a healthy roster.  So therefore, the two games for the Griffins this week (Wed. Jan. 18 and Fri. Jan. 20) will be postponed and give the team more time to recuperate and get healthy so that they can play at full strength.

"We thought we'd get good news from the doctors," Allen stated.  "However, that did not happen.  I will not allow these women to play at less than full strength."

"I am so proud of this year's team," head coach Karen Caires said.  "With the attitude and perseverance that has become a cornerstone. We are definitely getting tested and responding the best we can. I love this group of student-athletes, who by the way, just posted a 3.6 team GPA. I look forward to getting healthy and putting our efforts and talent back into competitive play."

As more information on make-up dates are announced it will be reported here first.
