SAN DIEGO — The Pacific Coast Athletic Conference for the third time this academic year has named a Griffin Volleyball player their Female Athlete of the Week. For the week ending on Sunday, October 9 Kelsey Carter of the Women’s Volleyball team was selected as female athlete of the week. 

For the week, Carter converted 44-percent of her swings into kills as the Fourth ranked Griffins went undefeated in their two road matches. 

Against Imperial Valley on Friday, the Sophomore middle hitter out of San Pasqual High had 13 kills to go along with a pair of aces and a block in only two sets. 

On Wednesday, she had four kills and aces and a pair of blocks as she played in all three sets of the Griffin sweep of San Diego City. 

Kelsey and the Griffins travel to District rival Cuyamaca on Wednesday and will host San Diego Miramar on Friday.
