#1 RENY CARR WOMEN'S WATER POLO

Reny Carr, women's water polo goalkeeper, is making waves this season.

The sophomore out of West Hills High has started and played as goalkeeper ten of ten matches this season so far. In those ten games Carr has totaled over 85 saves as goalkeeper with more than ten steals. She often finds herself scoring in other positions as well.

In games versus Rio Hondo and El Camino, Carr played the field scoring three goals and assisting in more than five. Her shooting percentage is 42.9 (four goals of seven shots), and she has 19 steals this season.

Carr especially made waves in Grossmont's victory over rival school Palomar College, when she came up with a huge save to win the game against the Comets 7-6. Carr continues to lead her team in the net, and head coach Larry Larsen is very pleased with her performance.

Larsen states, "Carr is a great athlete. She performs in every game."

GC women's water polo continues to battle for the conference championship, in an effort to capture a bid in regional playoffs November 8-10, 2018.
