INDOOR VOLLEYBALL FINISHES IN HIGH HONORS

The 2017 Grossmont Women's Volleyball team finished another great season, winning the PCAC South Division for the 8th straight season. The women moved forward into the 1st round regional play-offs winning the first 3 sets in the G-House vs Saddleback College, then finishing the season with a loss in the 2nd round regional play-off to eventual State Champions Irvine Valley College. 

The Griffins finished the season with a 21-7 overall record and went into the play-offs as the 8 seed, ranked 12th in the State. 

Freshman Alexcis Morris a 6'4 middle hitter from Heritage High School in Menifee grabbed 1st Team All-Southern Region and PCAC Player of the Year honors. 

Morris finished the season with team leads in 369 points and 269 kills.  Her .464 hitting percentage was 2nd in the State amongst all players.  Morris is joined in receiving 1st Team All PCAC honors with sophomore outside hitter Khalia Jordan from Chula Vista, sophomore outside hitter Felicia Marshall from Clinton, Utah, and freshman Libero Kayli Barrera from West Hills High School, San Diego. 

The 2017 accolades however did not end with just those four outstanding players; freshman setter Erin Roberts from Chula Vista and freshman outside hitter Naomi Talisa Leilua from Redondo Beach both received 2nd Team All PCAC Team. 

Rounding out the 2017 class with honorable mention are Desiree HowardNicole Donais, and Patrick Henry's Kiersten Kerch

Grossmont displayed tremendous athletic ability all season long along with mind blowing statistics such as Felicia Marshall's 52 service aces, 105 digs, and 237 kills.  Setter Erin Roberts finished the season with 610 assists (8.03) while Khalia Jordan ended with 222 points. 

The Griffins continue to be a premier CCCAA volleyball program with expectations of yearly championships!
