GRIFFINS AT UNIVERSITIES - WOMEN'S TENNIS

Alexia Mercer: Alexia Mercer played for the Lady Griffs in 2015 & 2016.  Alexia has been an Asst. Coach for the Lady Griffs since the 2017 season.  Alexia graduated from SDSU spring 2019 majoring in History.

Amanda DiGiovanni: Amanda competed in singles and doubles on the Grossmont College team in 2016 & 2017.  During the 2018 & 2019 seasons, Amanda was an Asst. Coach for the  Lady Grifs.  Amanda will be transferring to SDSU fall 2019 as a history major.

Jessica Blanco: Transferred to the University of Saint Katherine, NAIA on a tennis scholarship. Jessica will participate in Saint Katherine's tennis inaugural season in spring 2019. She contributed toward the Griffin women's tennis conference championship in 2017 and 2018.

Marlayna Durant: Transferred to Holy Names University, Div II on a partial tennis scholarship. Marlayna was a member of the 2013 and 2014 women's tennis team. Marlayna was also a member of the 2014 Pacific Coast Conference Championship Tennis Team.

Maddy Kleine: Transferred to Minnesota State University Mankato Div II on a partial tennis scholarship. Maddy was a member of the 2014 and 2015 Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Championship tennis team. Maddy will be studying business.

Jaella Conway: Transferred to Calif State University-Stanislaus Div II on a partial athletic and academic scholarship. Jaella was the 2015 Grossmont College Female Athlete of the Year. Jaella was also the 2014 & 2015 Pacific Coast Athletic Conference singles, doubles (Marlayna Durant 14' and Katie Salinda 15') and team champion. Jaella was the 2015 Grossmont College co-captain and will be majoring in Sociology with an emphasis in Human Services at Stanislaus.

Katie Salinda: Transferred to Minnesota State University Mankato Div II on a partial tennis scholarship. Played for the Griffins during the 2014 and 2015 season. Katie was a PCAC 2015 Doubles Champion with partner, Jaella Conway. Katie was the 2015 team co-captain at Grossmont College and will be majoring in business at Mankato.

Chloe Marquardt: Transferred to University of Nevada-Reno. Majoring in Marketing. Chloe was a member of the 2014 and 2015 Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Championship tennis team.

Kinsey Volkart - Played one season at Grossmont College. Transferred to University of Hawaii-Hilo on partial tennis scholarship and studying business.

Leiseli de Mendonca - Played two seasons for the lady griffs. Transferred to San Diego State University and is studying business.

Lupita Sandoval

Alexis Ronney - Played for the Lady Griffins in 2011 and 2012. Transferred to University of Minnesota-Mankato in the fall of 2012. Alexis received a partial tennis scholarship.

Michelle Robles - Transferred to San Diego State University

Jazmin Ortiz - Played for the Lady Griffs in 2011. Ended the 2011 tennis season with a final state ranking of #2 singles and #2 doubles. Jazmine transferred to Harvey Mudd in the fall of 2012. She will compete on the women's tennis team and continue her studies in applied mathematics.

Amanda Smith - Played for the Lady Griffins in 2011 and 2012. Transferred to San Diego State University in 2012. Studying pre-dental.

Nicole Tosches - Played for the Lady Griffins in 2008 and 2009. Played #6 singles on the 2008 State Championship Team. Graduated from San Diego State University in spring 2012. Majored in education.

Kate Schroeder - Played for the Lady Griffs in 2010 and 2011. Transferred to San Diego State University. Studying early childhood education.

Sharon Reibstein - Played for Grossmont College in 2011. Continued her tennis career at Point Loma Nazarene University in 2011. Studying nursing. Ended the tennis season w/ a national doubles ranking of #2 with doubles partner Jazmine Ortiz and a national team ranking of #3.

Maria Lowenthal - Played for the Lady Griffs in 2009 and 2010. Graduated from San Diego State University 2012 in Hospitality.

Denise Martinez - Transferred, and graduated from University of California, San Diego

Maddy Jacobs - Played for the Lady Griffins in 2009 and 2010. Graduated from California State University, San Marcos 2012. Majored in Kinesiology.

Jessica Eung - Played for the Lady Griffins in 2010, Transferred to Sacramento State University in 2011 as a student/athlete.

Kayla Colburn - Played for the Lady Griffins in 2010. Graduated from San Diego State University in2012

Justine Gordon - Played two seasons for the Lady Grifs (2006&2008) Is a member of the California Community College Championship Women's Tennis Team 2008. Played with doubles partner Kaylee Nicholas. Continuing her academics at San Diego State University.

Amanda Barnes - Played one season for the Lady Grifs. Transferred to Nursing School on the island of Saint Kits.

Danielle Bryon - Played two seasons (2008&09) for the Lady Grifs. Is a member of the California Community College Championship Women's Tennis Team 2008. Played with doubles partner Joanna Moya. Danielle was named Grossmont College Female Athlete of the Year 2008. Continuing her academics at San Diego State University. Studying Physical Therapy.

Bree Rangel (2007) Bree will join Renee Malcuit at Arkansas Tech University in the fall of 2007.

Brianna McClintock (2006) Brianna competed for the Lady Griffs in the 06 season. She played #4 singles and #2 doubles. Brianna transferred to Cal Baptist in Riverside after her freshman year at Grossmont and will be a member of the women's tennis team. Renee Malcuit (2005-2006) Renee played for the Lady Griffins in the 05 & 06 seasons. She received a full scholarship to Arkansas Tech University starting spring 07. Renee will be studying Anthropology and Sociology. Renee will always be known as a very determined and hard working individual.

Mayumi Sato (2003 & 2004) California Community College Champion. Transferred to San Diego State University.

Sayaka Fukumoto (2003 & 2004) California Community College Champion. Transferred and is playing at the University of Hawaii at Hilo (Div ll) on full scholarship.

Yuki Hagiwara (2003 & 2004) California Community College Champion and Ojai Champion. Transferred and is competing at San Diego State University (Div l) on full scholarship.

Breanna Pinnick (2003 & 2004) California Community College Champion. Competed one year on women's cross country team at Grossmont in 2004. Transferred to the University of San Diego.

Ashlee Berg (2002 and 2004) California Community College Champion. Transferred to Cal State University San Bernardino.

Stephanie Irwin (2002 & 2003) California Community College Champion. Transferred and played tennis on partial scholarship at San Jose State University (Div l) in 2004 & 2005.

Yuko Kawauchi (2001 & 2002) California Community College Champion. Transferred to Cal State University San Marcos.

Melissa Magat (2001) Transferred to San Francisco State University and competed on the team in 2003 & 2004.

Cookie Sambrano (2001 & 2002) California Community College Champion. Transferred to San Francisco State University and competed on the women's tennis team in 2003 & 2004.

Jessica Schneider (2001 & 2002) California Community College Champion. Competed in Cross Country at Grossmont in 2002. Transferred to Humboldt State University. Competed on the women's crew team at Humboldt State University.

Laurel Brown (2001 & 02) Ojai Champion and California Community College Champion. Transferred to Montana State University (Div l) on full scholarship and competed in 2003 & 2004.

Stepanka (Folgetova) Hastings (2001-2002) Ojai Champion and California Community College Champion. Transferred to Alliant University (NAIA) on partial scholarship and competed in 2003 & 04.

Deah Toby (2000 & 01), transferred and played at Sonoma State University from 2002-03.

Ina Victoryna (1999), transferred to SDSU.

Tomoyu Kawii (1999 & 2000) Transferred to SDSU after Grossmont.
